The Basis and Nature of A Rights-Based Approach to Housing Policy

In the 2017 fall, the Canadian Federal Government announced a “National Housing Plan,” and addressing homelessness appears to be a major part of it.


The government put out a discussion paper on their idea that the national housing strategy should be guided by the idea that there is a human right to housing, and also called for commentary on that. Given the timing of this, Professor Essert aims to find out some details about the commentary that they’re looking for and then to send something in. Access the whole article: here.
