Institutions of higher education are centers of knowledge and power in our communities. Home to experts in the many areas that homelessness touches, universities can contribute by conducting and disseminating research and expertise to help us better understand and address homelessness, as well as by providing high-quality training to future professionals that will be on the front lines of serving the homeless and ending homelessness.

Beyond their traditional roles, universities can also impact serve as “anchor institutions” in their communities. ______________
